Welcome to Torbay’s 'Every school day matters' attendance web pages for schools.
School attendance is a priority for the council. It is a vital part of school improvement and all aspects of school life can have a significant impact on pupils’ attendance levels. Research has also identified a strong correlation between attendance and attainment.Schools play a vital role in getting the message to all young people and their families in Torbay.
The links to the left contain downloadable resources for primary and secondary schools including certificates, lesson plans, posters and postcards as well as information on how to order professionally printed copies from Torbay Council’s Printing Services. All the downloadable resources can also be printed by schools themselves or downloaded onto USB Flashdrives for use in school assemblies, lessons or school reception areas.
It is all our responsibility to champion good school attendance and celebrate successes to help children in Torbay improve their future prospects.
