Flies

Of all the many types of fly, with interesting names such as vinegar fly and bathroom fly, Musca domestica the house fly is most likely to come calling.
Mother flies lay their eggs in or near decaying material that will provide food for their little maggots. So the safe storage and disposal of refuse and avoiding accumulations of pet faeces will avoid this. If spraying is not an option, sticky fly strips are a non toxic means of control, useful in food handling areas. They use a pheromone to attract male flies and deny them the chance of fathering future maggots.
