What is “Racism”? Racism is the prejudice or discrimination based on an individual's race. Racism is about people's racist beliefs against each other, it can be about generally hating someone or thinking someone is less of a person than yourself because of language or skin colour etc. Racism can play a big factor in people’s lives, it had been the cause of wars, slavery and the legal system. People who have racism directed at them can become lonely, angry, isolated and depressed. They might not feel like going to school or work and may lose all of their self-confidence. Racial crimes are against the law, these could be things from violence to harassament but you can also be arrested for ‘inciting racial hatred’. Is to try to get others to join you in being racist.
